The VNEP consists of former military officers and educators who firmly believe that our greatest hopes for the future rest with an intelligent and informed citizenry, particularly as it relates to the education and preparation of our youngest citizens.

Why do we believe that these stories – these historical voices – need to be heard? History is relevant. The past impacts our present. We need to understand the genesis of conflict: why it occurs; what went wrong; what went right.
